The Scowcroft Series of short documentary films is designed to address timely, complex, or controversial topics in open-ended ways that encourage Cadet discussion in the classroom.
In this segment, Soldiers and scholars address the changes the Army went through in the era following the Vietnam War. They address issues such as discipline, racism, drug abuse, and professionalism, and explain how those issues affected the state of the Army in the 1970s. They also situate America’s Army within the social and cultural context of the time.
