MAJ Lisa (Peplinski) Jaster graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2000 as an Engineer Officer. After tours in Iraq and Afghanistan she left the Army, and several years later she joined the Army Reserves. At 37 years old, she accepted the opportunity to go to Ranger School.
In this interview, she talks about her motivation to attend West Point and Ranger School, and about the support her family provided. She describes the mental difficulty she overcame when she recycled while the other two women continued on, and earning respect from fellow students and cadre.
