Oral History and Social Media

Ways to Stay Connected /
/
Sep 17, 2015

The West Point Center for Oral History is now reaching out to our interested viewers on Facebook and on Twitter. Not only is this a convenient way to be informed about new interview releases, but we also republish older interviews that you may have missed. For example, Friday September 18, is both National POW / MIA Day as well as being the Air Force's Birthday. To honor both of those events, we've reposted links to three older but pertinent videos on Facebook and Twitter. We shared Mike Dowe (USMA '50) who was captured and escaped during the Korean War, GEN(R) James Dalton (USMA '54) who branched Air Force and served a full career in that service, and Robert Campbell Jones (USMA '65) who served in the Air Force, was shot down, and spent 5 years as a POW during the Vietnam War. Our Facebook page is titled West Point Center for Oral History, and our Twitter name is West Point COH.

If you visit the West Point Center for Oral History on Facebook, please also consider visiting our sister page, the West Point Department of History page. In addition to sharing our interview links, you'll be able to see what are Cadets and Instructors are doing.

');
